Friendships and connections with people with whom we share the same values and interests always give results in innovative projects. This was the same example. It started with mutual wish to connect two sides of the same matter. Unifying classical instrument oboe with tamboura, traditional instrument typical for the Balkan Region. Tamboura appears in the music of the northern Serbian region of Vojvodina, its northern neighbouring Hungary (that used to be a part of the Austro-Hungarian empire), Romania (part that used to belong to Hungary), Croatia and eastern Slovenia.
Region from where I come from, from where comes Gregor- conductor of the tamboura orchestra Dobreč. Although we both spent time in Novi Sad, our roads crossed only some years after – in Slovenia.They made step into the classical music genre, I made step into the traditional melos. We have met in the unified field of Music. Made an amazing new experience for ourselves and for our audience and have sent the message:
Music is, in all its forms, is our everyday experience of life itself
