Oboa fest
Our mission is to introduce world class education to the oboe students of Serbia and enable them to learn from the best international soloist who can inspire them and prepare them to succeed
During the 1990’s, while former Yugoslavia was falling apart and art was relegated to the background, I left my home country in order to pursue oboe studies abroad. Thought and decision to bring and share with young musicians all the experience I gained on my musical path resulted in variety of educational projects. Back to Serbia, together with my colleagues Ivana Dakić and Petar Vucelić, I initiated first “Oboe fest” in 2018, festival that brings the best worldwide oboe soloists, professors and instrument makers to Serbia.
Oboe fest is festival that celebrates and promotes oboe as deficient instrument in Serbia. It is unique for all the Balkan region. Aim of the Festival is to establish good oboe music school with tradition, based on the top level music education. It offers specialized oboe masterclasses of the world and domestic most renowned oboe soloists and teachers. Festival organizes instrument exhibitions of the best world known oboe maker factories, as well as educational workshops and different concert activities that involve oboe.
